The Connection Specialist guide.
Everything you need to understand the opportunity, the process, and the mission. This is the online version of the official Cassus Media Connection Specialist guide.
Making Connections
Welcome to the Cassus Media Connection Team. As a Connection Specialist, you’ve joined a select group of people who’ve decided to better their lives by connecting a service that genuinely helps small businesses.
When those businesses grow, they hire more people, feed more families, and ultimately make the world a little better. Our mission is to help small business owners grow their sales through high-quality marketing content.
The Process
The truth is, connecting isn’t always easy, unless you have a system that makes it easy. There are five main steps. Introduce yourself genuinely, be likable, schedule a meeting as soon as possible, then identify, connect, and sign, and finally follow up.
Get prospects excited using terms like “rapid growth,” “save money,” and “personal attention.” You won’t get far if they don’t like you first, so lead with genuine warmth.
Your Responsibilities
Being a Connection Specialist is simple. Once you make a sale, you collect your 20% commission every month from each of your accounts, for as long as they stay on. It can be very profitable, but like any system, it has to be maintained.
Per your W-9 subcontractor agreement, you’ll refer businesses to Cassus Media’s services, provide accurate information, make sure clients know you referred them, check in to keep them happy, and relay any feedback to Cassus Media promptly.

The 360° Opportunity
If you’re looking to use this role to improve your quality of life, help pay the bills, or completely change the way you’ve been living, this position can help you do exactly that. We all need work to live, but we don’t believe in living to work.
You help others and get paid for it. You can afford more. Your quality of life improves. That’s the 360°.
How to actually get leads.
Sharing your link is step one, not the whole plan. The specialists who earn the most treat this like a real business. Here is the proven playbook.
Start with who you already know
Your warm network is the fastest path to your first commission. Make a list of 20 to 30 people you know who own a business, manage one, or work closely with an owner. These are the highest-converting leads you’ll ever have.
Lead with a real conversation
Don’t open with a pitch. Ask how their business is going, what’s working, and what’s frustrating them. People buy from people they trust, so be genuinely curious first and helpful second.
Share your personal link
When they’re curious, send your unique lead page from your dashboard. It shows exactly what Cassus Media does and lets them raise their hand, no long PDF or hard connect required.
Get the meeting on the calendar
No meeting, no sale. Offer a quick, free 15-minute call and a Cassus Media specialist will walk them through a plan that fits. Your job is simply to make the introduction.
Follow up, then follow up again
Most deals close after several touches, not the first one. A friendly check-in a few days later is often exactly what turns a “maybe” into a “yes.” Persistence, not pressure, is what wins.
You don’t need to be a salesperson. You need five real conversations a week. Focus on being helpful and letting people know what you do, and the numbers take care of themselves.
Six places to find business owners.
You don’t have to guess where to look. These are the channels that consistently produce real conversations.
Your warm circle
Friends, family, neighbors, and former coworkers who run or work at a business. The single highest-converting source you have, so start here.
The number one platform for reaching business owners and decision-makers. Update your profile to say you help local businesses grow, post about it, and message people directly.
Facebook groups
Local business and community groups are full of owners looking for help. Be genuinely useful first, then share your link where it’s welcome.
Local and in person
The shops you already visit, your chamber of commerce, and networking events. A face-to-face introduction builds trust faster than anything online.
Ask for referrals
Every happy connection knows other owners. A simple “who else do you know who could use this?” compounds quickly and keeps your pipeline full.
Email and text follow-up
Perfect for staying top of mind with warm leads without being pushy. A short, friendly message a few days after a conversation works wonders.
A simple 7-day start.
Momentum beats perfection. Follow this and you’ll have real conversations going before the week is out.
Build your list
Write down 20 to 30 warm contacts who own or work at a business. Copy your personal lead link from your dashboard so it’s ready to share.
Set the stage
Update your LinkedIn and Facebook to mention you help local businesses grow with Cassus Media. Make one genuine post about why you’re excited about it.
Start conversations
Reach out to your five warmest contacts with a real, personal message, not a pitch. Ask about their business and listen.
Share and follow up
Post your link in one or two local groups where it’s welcome, reply to everyone who responded, and book any meetings you can.
